2009 | s.o.s - The eagle.. a given theme to 55 international artist of the Eco Art Parade in 2009, each interpreting their own views on the state of the world.
Some of my most meaningful memories for what's mirroring back in Mother Earth News today, was meeting with H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco whilst introducing my mixed media resin sculpture "SOS" before He acquired it at Sotheby's Institute of Art auction for Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco.
(Save Our Souls) speaks for itself : a World needing urgently to be taken to Hospital. Interpreted by "Adam & Eve's Ultimate Identity Loss" after consuming their last meal on Earth painted on the back of the left wing of the eagle I flattened for its mini-mural, and "The Melting Polar Ice Queen" painted on its right wing. The front side represents the melted flag of Monaco, symbolic for its pro-active sustainable involvement of empathy with Mother Earth. The series of drop-shaped plexiglas inclusions, with further little chapters in them (incl. Mother Earth's heart remembering our actions), mounted 360° round the sculpture dripping hot glossy red-to-crimson on the exhaust-pipe of my former old-timer, serving as part of its pedestal.
